Zoho Interview Process 2026: Coding, Technical & HR Guide
Zoho fresher interview process for 2026 — multi-round coding test, technical interview depth, and preparation tips for software engineer roles in India.
Zoho has a unique multi-round process — a long coding test, advanced programming round, and technical interview. It is harder than most service companies but rewards strong fundamentals and clean code.
Zoho interview rounds
Zoho's process is longer than most: written aptitude → coding test (basic) → advanced programming round → technical interview → HR. The advanced programming round is what sets Zoho apart — you build a small module or solve a complex problem in 2–3 hours.
- Round 1: Aptitude + basic programming (30–40 min)
- Round 2: Coding test — 3–5 problems, easy to medium
- Round 3: Advanced programming — design + implement a module (2–3 hours)
- Round 4: Technical interview — DSA + resume + CS fundamentals
- Round 5: HR — fit, salary, location (Chennai/Salem/Tenkasi)
The advanced programming round
This is unique to Zoho. You are given a problem (often a mini-application: text editor, cache system, file parser) and asked to design + implement it within 2–3 hours. They review your code for correctness, design, and edge-case handling.
Preparation: practice building small console applications from scratch. Focus on clean code, separation of concerns, and handling invalid input gracefully.
Technical interview depth
Zoho technical interviews go deep into your strongest language. If you say Java, expect questions on collections internals, JVM basics, exception handling, and multi-threading. If C/C++, expect pointers, memory management, and data structure implementation from scratch.
How Apply helps for Zoho
Tailor your resume with Zoho's tech stack (Java, C, C++, Python, SQL). Use Interview prep with company set to Zoho for practice questions. Mock interview helps you rehearse your project explanation — Zoho interviewers ask deep 'why' questions about your choices.
